Seeking Office Manager for E-Commerce Start-up

About the Role:

We are looking for a proactive, and culture-oriented Office Manager to contribute to the overall functionality and efficiency of our office operations. The ideal candidate will be smart, great at multi-tasking, calm under pressure and thrive on independant-based work.  Those without administrative experience need not apply.

 

As an Office Manager you will:

  • Accept mail deliveries and manage returns (which may include lifting heavy boxes)
  • Organize travel and bookings for our London & NYC offices
  • Supply office with snacks, beverages, and stationary & essentials within budget
  • Manage & optimize office facilities including space allocation, vendor relationship management, and IT infrastructure
  • Work confidently with budgets and bookkeeping systems
  • Be responsible for the upkeep and tidiness of office common spaces
  • Problem solving and liaison with building management
  • Greet all visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner, and direct them appropriately
  • Provide administrative support as needed in order to enable the company’s continued growth and success

Some skills we consider critical to being an Office Manager:

  • 2+ years of office management or related experience, preferably within a start-up environment.
  • Proactive and innovative thinker who is able to quickly identify the needs of an office
  • Confidence and ability to take direction well and work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High proficiency in Google Applications, including Google Calendar and GMail
